The mission of the nationally recognized SWAT concept is to promote student leadership training, address technology competencies, provide outreach to the community through parent involvement, corporate support, and student community service, and to encourage collaboration among student SWAT Teams nationally.
I will be moving back to the US in October.

Lucy was nationally recognized for SWAT (Students Working To Advance Technology) project of which Technology and Learning Magazine and Microsoft named her the 1997 National Technology Teacher of the Year for founding this concept. The SWAT Program provides a structured environment for students to develop Digital Literacy skills. She continues to provide mentoring and online support to the National SWAT Outreach and SWAT Leadership Teams.
